The Fair
The fair has come to Lusaka and we just had to see what a third world agricultural fair was like. Food, rides, livestock, tractor exhibits, hot sun and lots of people milling about. Hmmm. . .it is just about the same!

Were there any crummy rock bands playing Skynard and CCR tunes? Corn cob on a stick with so much butter that you have to wash it down with a nitro-glycerin tablet to avoid immediate coronary failure? Syruppy snow-cones that send one into a diabetic coma within minutes? $4 tickets for 30-second rides?

Lynn, I don't remember our time together at the fair. I'm sure there's a good reason why I have total amnesia. Blocking it out, maybe? I'll also stop now. . .
