Yo, Ho, Ho and a bottle of rum
John recently heard about national Talk Like a Pirate Day (which is Sept. 19th if you're interested). He started talking like a pirate and planning for this holiday. Here is what the kids have been doing for days. . .

Evan is the dreaded one-eyed pirate captain and Nathan is made to walk the plank. Marshall is the keen-eyed lookout and Julia is the fair-haired maiden. Don't worry grandparents, those tattoos aren't permanent!

I see the boys' muscular structure is similar to their father's...those apples didn't fall far from the tree.
Wow, I got a good laugh from these pictures. How fun. You gotta save these for posterity. Talking like a pirate is addicting. You're never too old to talk like a pirate. :)
d. - didn't you see the picture of John as Mr. Incredible????
John and Noel-
I love these pictures! It is so wonderful to see kids' creativity( and yours)at work. I hate that we have not kept updated by reading your blog until now, but I am going to try to do beter. Sydney is studying geography this year and missionaries serving in different parts of the world. I'm excited about this study and we have already talked about your family serving in Zambia. You are in our prayers. If there is an opportunity for one of your boys to e-mail Sydney and Will and tell them about whatever they want to share about being in Zambia, I'm certain they would love it. We have not started studying Africa yet, but it will not be long. I pray God's richest blessings for you and your family as you continue to do His work there.
