Day Three - Mosi-O-Tunya Safari Park

In Mosi-O-Tunya park we drove our vehicle through and saw animals roaming freely. These elephants had come to the water hole to roll in the mud and to drink. One of them thought we were too close, though, as she started flapping her ears, trumpeting and moving closer to us. In the picture above, the kids stand by a termite mound.

This giraffe had a good time watching us as we watched him.

These are the only two rhinos in Zambia. They are guarded 24/7 by men with big guns. Apparently rhinos are hunted for their horns. An employee of the park walked us to where these rhinos were trying to take a nap, which is why we were able to get so close.

The boys ate lunch on top of the cruiser. It was an adrenaline-filled day full of wonder at the animals we saw. This ain't no zoo!
