Dental Clinic

Who would have imagined a dental clinic on our front porch? John , a visitor from America who came over with a short term team from Crossroads Community Church, is also a dentist. In 3 days he saw 60 patients and extracted 82 teeth. You see, private dental clinics are beyond the reach of ordinary Zambians and there are no government dental clinics. Many of the people Dentist John saw were in pain on a daily basis because of cavities in their teeth. Some people were in such bad shape that they had teeth that had rotted away, leaving only the roots. Other people had serious infections requiring antibiotics. What a privilege it was to show Christ's love by taking care of a basic human need.
